• "X" in modern mythology was born a Spartan and held the military rank of General, before extracting his reprisal on the Olympians who had forsaked him and derives around the themes of power, vengeance, and deceit.

• One striking similarity between the ancient and modern "X" is strength. In Greek mythology X was a powerful being and a protector of Zeus, the modern depiction of "X" follows this by making "X" equally strong.

• While the Greek god "X" was an angelic being that was a protector of Zeus, the Modern "X" sees the gods as decietful and wishes to destroy them, especially Zeus. It is ironic that the angelic "X" defended Zeus and Olympus against Typhon, while in the Moderm "X" leads an attack on Olympus and Zeus along with the Titans.

• Another possible reference between the two "X"s is chains. In the story "Prometheus bound," Ancient "X" aids Hephaestus in chaining Prometheus to a mountain, The modern "X" weapons of choice is the Blades of Chaos,which are attached to the chains of Olympus and Ironically, it was the modern "X" who released Prometheus from his imprisonment
